Your vascular system is made of up vessels that carry blood through every part of your body.  Arteries are the pathways which carry oxygen-rich blood from your heart to your body.  Oxygen is used by the body then returned to your heart through the veins.

Although many people recognize the serious consequences of blocked vessels in heart disease, few people recognize that the same build-up of cholesterol and “plaque” can affect the veins as well.  Blockages which occur in the veins can also have serious, even life-threatening consequences, the most common of which are:
