Join us for a day of golf, camaraderie, and community support at the Oaklawn Birdie Classic Golf Outing. Gather your team, enjoy a beautiful day on one of Michigan’s premier golf courses, and help support Oaklawn’s mission of providing personal, accessible, and high-quality care to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

Event Schedule

  • 8:15 AM – Check-In & Registration
  • 9:00 AM – Shotgun Start
  • 2:00 PM – Post Round Meal and Awards + Raffle Winner Announced

Whether you’re an experienced golfer or simply looking for a fun day with friends, colleagues, or clients, the Oaklawn Birdie Classic offers a memorable experience while making a meaningful impact.

Tournament Format

The Oaklawn Birdie Classic is a four-person scramble, making it a fun and competitive format for golfers of all skill levels.

In a scramble, each member of the foursome tees off. The team selects the best shot, and all players then play their next shot from that location. This process continues until the ball is holed.

Tournament Rules

  • Men will play from the White Tees
  • Women will play from the Red Tees
  • Seniors age 62 and older will play from the Gold Tees
  • Players may place their ball within one club length of the selected shot, no closer to the hole
  • A selected ball that lies in a hazard must be played from the hazard
  • Each foursome will record one team score per hole
  • There is a maximum score of bogey (1 over par) per hole. Once your team reaches or will reach bogey, please pick up and proceed to the next hole to help maintain pace of play
  • In the event of a tie, scorecards will be matched beginning with the lowest handicap hole and continuing in order until a winner is determined
