Oaklawn Annual Hospice Memorial Scheduled for March 7 at Maple Grove Bible Church

MARSHALL, Mich. — Oaklawn Hospice will host its Annual Hospice Memorial at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Maple Grove Bible Church, located at 18511 L Drive South in Marshall. The memorial provides an opportunity for families, friends, and community members to come together in remembrance of loved ones who received care through Oaklawn Hospice over the past year.

“We’re honored to offer this meaningful time of remembrance and reflection once again,” said Lisa Morgensai, Oaklawn Hospice Bereavement Coordinator. “Gathering in community to celebrate and honor the lives of those we’ve loved is a blessing.”

For many families, the memorial provides a deeply meaningful opportunity for closure and connection. Lois Hoffman, who attended last year’s service, shared how the experience impacted her. “I am so glad that the Oaklawn Memorial is available,” Hoffman said. “I attended because my sister didn’t have a funeral service. It was a very helpful experience for me, and I just felt loved.”

The nondenominational service invites participants to honor loved ones with readings, music, and shared tributes. A special moment during the memorial includes the reading of names of those being remembered. Guests are encouraged to send in a photo of their loved one for display during the program.

Families wishing to have a loved one’s name included in the memorial program or submit a photograph are asked to contact Morgensai by February 27, 2026, via email at lmorgensai@oaklawnhospital.com or by calling(269) 789-3939 ext. 3118.

The memorial service typically lasts about an hour, followed by light refreshments. Parking is available in the Maple Grove Bible Church parking lot. All are welcome to attend.

Oaklawn Hospice’s bereavement services — including support mailings, grief groups, monthly lunch gatherings, and a lending library — are available at no cost to families following the loss of a loved one.
