Oaklawn Celebrates Another Successful Fourth of July Pet, Bike & Wagon Parade

MARSHALL, Mich. — Oaklawn welcomed families to downtown Marshall on July 4 for another successful Annual Oaklawn Pet, Bike & Wagon Parade, continuing a beloved community tradition that brought together children, families, and neighbors to celebrate Independence Day.

More than 300 children participated in this year’s parade, proudly showcasing their creatively decorated pets, bikes, and wagons. Hundreds lined the streets and gathered afterward to enjoy the Marshall Rotary Band concert and the popular chicken barbecue meals, making for a festive morning filled with community spirit.

“We are grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate the Fourth of July,” said Gregg Beeg, President and CEO of Oaklawn. “This event has become a cherished tradition that brings generations of families together, and it’s wonderful to see so many children participating and creating lasting memories.”

Oaklawn extends its sincere appreciation to this year’s parade judges: current President and CEO Gregg Beeg, incoming President and CEO Dr. Summer Liston-Crandall, Executive Director of Oaklawn Medical Group Zach Chapman, and Development Associate Kelsey Zeilstra, for volunteering their time to help select this year’s winners.
