MARSHALL – Oaklawn Medical Group is proud to announce their newest team member, Internal Medicine physician, Jeremiah “Jamie” Schnoor, MD.  Dr. Schnoor is expected to start accepting patients in January 2015.

Dr. Schnoor obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from Ohio State University and completed residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago. Most recently, Dr. Schnoor worked as a Hospitalist for Sound Physicians at Good Samaritan Hospital in Washington. Dr. Schnoor has been board-certified in Internal Medicine since 2013.

“I am proud and excited to join Marshall Internal and Family Medicine and looking forward to starting this new chapter in my life,” said Dr. Schnoor. “My goal is to use my knowledge and passion for internal medicine to deliver the community the best patient care possible. I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of my patients.”

Dr. Schnoor’s professional interests include: cardiology, computer technology in medicine, patient education and preventative medicine, medical education, global health.

“Jamie is another great addition to our primary care team within the Oaklawn Medical Group”  said Mark Montross, Executive Director of the Oaklawn Medical Group.  “Jamie mentioned that he has always liked to fix things, and that being a doctor now allows him the opportunity to now help fix people, which he finds very rewarding”.

In addition to his medical training, Dr. Schnoor’s educational background consists of research in cardiac catheterization, mentoring first-year medical students and teaching. Dr. Schnoor has also volunteered in Mae Tao, Thailand and Maluti Hospital in Lesotho.

His personal interests include: traveling, hiking, wine tasting, computers, beer brewing, photography and legos.
