Oaklawn honored as 2014 ‘top performer’ in efforts to help patients and staff

MARSHALL – A national health-care consulting firm is recognizing Oaklawn Hospital for its exceptional nursing care while it has worked to improve patients’ experiences and encouraging collaborative efforts among its medical staff.

Identified as a “top performer,” is receiving a five-star customer service award from Omaha, Neb.-based Professional Research Consultants Inc.

PRC award-winners will be recognized and celebrated at the 15th annual PRC Excellence in Healthcare Conference, being held June 8-10 at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch, in St. Louis, Mo.

The award singles out Oaklawn for its achievements in nursing care, as reflected in surveys of patients, employees and physicians.

Hospitals are judged against all other health0care organizations in similar categories within PRC’s nationwide databases.  PRC top performers must score at or above the 100th percentile within their particular comparison group, while five-star winners are identified as the top 10 percent (at or above the 90th percentile) of PRC’s national client database.
