I'm not feeling well. Where should I go?

When you’re not feeling well, you have options when seeking care. Choosing the best option, based on your illness or injury, could save you time and money. The information below will help you make an informed decision when seeking care.

Your primary care provider: If you are experiencing symptoms that are non-emergent (non-life threatening), please call your primary care provider first (if related to your specialty care call the specialist first). Oaklawn Medical Group primary care physicians are on-call 24/7, and our offices hold open slots for same-day appointments. Your primary care doctor knows your health history, and may save you the inconvenience and expense of an emergency department visit. Oaklawn’s primary care physicians have access to many specialists should your condition require a referral.

After Hours Express – Marshall / Express Care – Albion: Oaklawn Medical Group’s After Hours Express – Marshall and Express Care – Albion offices are open seven days a week for those times when you’re unable to see your primary care provider. Our Express Care locations are staffed by nurse practitioners and physician assistants who treat non-emergent conditions such as cold and flu, ear infections and minor injuries. On-site x-ray services are available for sprains and broken bones. No appointment is necessary.

Emergency Department: Emergency departments are for critical and life-threatening physical and mental conditions. If you feel you have a life-threatening physical or mental condition, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
