Oaklawn is committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive mental health care for our community. Our team of experienced psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, and therapists deliver care for patients of all ages, from children to older adults.
Outpatient psychological services are designed to help individuals manage a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, ADHD, and more. Our clinicians provide evaluations, medication management, and therapy in a supportive environment.
Traditionally, Oaklawn’s outpatient behavioral health services have been offered solely at our Bear Creek campus in Marshall. To expand access and reduce barriers to care, we now also provide outpatient mental health services directly within several Oaklawn primary care offices. This integrated approach allows patients to receive mental health care in a familiar setting, reduces stigma, and helps ensure timely, coordinated treatment alongside their primary care.
In addition to our Bear Creek campus, outpatient psychiatric services are now available at:
These services are currently provided by Suzanne Kirk, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, who brings more than 30 years of experience in family and psychiatric care, including a decade with Oaklawn’s inpatient psychiatric unit. She now focuses on outpatient mental health treatment for adults, working closely with primary care providers to support patients with concerns such as anxiety, depression, and mood instability.
For those requiring a higher level of care, Oaklawn also operates a 17-bed inpatient psychiatric unit at our main hospital campus in Marshall. Our inpatient team provides short-term, intensive treatment to help stabilize acute psychiatric conditions in a safe and supportive environment.
At Oaklawn, we believe mental health is an essential part of overall health—and we are dedicated to making care more accessible, personalized, and stigma-free.
Our clinical staff helps patients deal with a variety of issues, including:
