What to Expect

Most lab visits do not require an appointment. Patients are typically seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

Some tests may require preparation, such as fasting or at-home collection. Oaklawn’s Laboratory has prep sheets available for patients to follow in these circumstances. Some laboratory testing (i.e. stool or 24-hour urine testing) may require special kits or supplies and our lab will conveniently supply those to you.

You can call your provider’s office to obtain test results or you can sign up for a patient portal account to have immediate access to all current and future test results.

Oaklawn Laboratory is certified by the College of American Pathologists and staffed by experienced professionals dedicated to accurate, timely results. Whether you choose the hospital laboratory for full-service testing or one of our eight convenient draw stations for quick visits, Oaklawn is committed to making your lab experience simple, efficient, and patient-centered.
