Dermatology

A dermatologist is a doctor who specializes in diagnosing and treating more than 3,000 different diseases of the skin, hair, nails and mucous membranes. Examples of diseases treated by a dermatologist include skin cancer, acne, nail infections, eczema and rashes.

Dermatologists also help patients improve the appearance of skin, hair and nails, while minimizing the signs of aging (wrinkles, scars, age spots). They can also help improve the appearance of scars, specifically the affects stemming from treatment of skin cancer.
