Sweet treats are in store as members of the Oaklawn Hospital Auxiliary gear up for the latest edition of the organization’s Gourmet Fudge and Chocolate Sale.
The sale – which is being held just in time for the year’s most romantic holiday – will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, in the main lobby of Oaklawn Hospital at 200 N. Madison St.
“Valentine’s Day is going to be observed the following week, so we thought this would be a nice time for people to prepare,” said Auxiliary fundraising chair Ruth Albaugh.
Items for sale will include fudge, chocolate-covered pretzels, caramel “turtles,” English toffee and other confections, through arrangements with BC Sweets LLC of Flat Rock, Mich. The treats will be available in bulk or in individual gift packages, Albaugh said.
Payments may be made with cash, credit card, check or payroll deduction (for eligible Oaklawn employees).
The sale will assist the Auxiliary in raising money to support the organization and its programs to benefit Oaklawn Hospital and its patients.
For additional information about the sale, contact Kyle Keller at Oaklawn’s Development office, (269) 789-3903.
