Marshall plastic surgeon to offer question and answer session

The public is invited to an informal informational session at the new office of Dr. Sumita Saha, the Oaklawn Medical Group’s first plastic and reconstructive surgeon.

The event, entitled “Let Talk Plastic Surgery,” will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, in the office of Oaklawn Medical Group-Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at 203 Winston Drive.

Saha will meet with community members and potential patients, and share information about her practice. A question-and-answer period is planned.

Officials from Oaklawn Hospital and the Oaklawn Medical Group will attend, and refreshments will be served. Reservations may be made by calling (269) 781-1178.

Saha’s surgical experience includes facial trauma and cancer reconstruction, wound and burn care and cosmetic procedures, cleft lip/palate and congenital surgery, breast reconstruction including microsurgery, hand surgeries and botox and filler injections.

Saha, 32, was born in Calcutta, India, and as a child moved to Nigeria with her family. She came to the United States in 1997 to further her medical education.

Saha received her bachelor’s degree in biology in 2000 from Washington College in Maryland, where she was valedictorian. She went on to receive her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2006. In June 2011, she completed her plastic surgery residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.

Saha was employed previously as a plastic surgeon at the St. Cloud Regional Medical Center in St. Cloud, Fla.
