Nurse Cindy started her nursing career in 1990 after graduating from Indiana University. Cindy started as an orthopedic floor nurse and practiced for 10 years in public health in Indianapolis. Cindy has 20 years of experience in home care and hospice, including a significant amount of wound care experience. Cindy joined the Oaklawn Wound Center team in October 2022.
Cindy: “I enjoy wound care because you can see the healing and progression in your patients! You can see the healing happening each week!”

Nurse Anita has been practicing as a nurse for 24 years. Anita practiced as a med-surg nurse in the early part of her career. She then transitioned to a long-term acute care unit for 4 years. Anita spent a short stint in home care as well. For the last 15 years, Anita has been providing wound care. Anita is a certified wound care nurse.
Anita: “I love building relationships with my patients. It is very rewarding being a part of the healing process both physical and emotional.”
Fun Fact: Anita really enjoys working with animals, especially dogs, chickens, and ducks. Anita Rocks!
Nurse Dawn has been providing care as a nurse for 20 years. Dawn’s career has consisted of 17 years of wound care experience in the skilled nursing facility area and outpatient clinic setting. Dawn joined Oaklawn Wound Care Center in 2024. Dawn is a wound care certified nurse.
Dawn: “I love following from the beginning to the end of the healing process. I love getting to know the patients and their families.”
