COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 cases continue to rise throughout Michigan and are putting a strain on our hospital and health care teams. Our clinical teams have been operating at extremely high capacity. This is impacting how we care for those who are seriously injured, suffer a heart attack, stroke or experience another medical emergency.

How does this impact you?

  • Wait times for emergency, urgent or primary care may be much longer than usual
  • Ambulance transfers may be delayed
  • Surgeries or procedures may be deferred to a later date
  • Visitor restrictions remain in effect
  • You may have a prolonged stay in the Emergency Department while you wait for a bed in the hospital

What can you do?

  • Get a COVID-19 vaccination and booster and annual flu vaccine
  • Vaccinate your children (5-18) against COVID-19 and influenza (all ages)
  • Get teens 16-17 a COVID-19 booster if it has been more than 6 months since their second shot
  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Wear a mask when in indoor public spaces
  • Practice social distancing
  • Limit the size of your holiday gatherings, especially for those that are unvaccinated

Visitor Policy

Please check the visitor policy before your appointment or visiting a hospital inpatient. For the safety of others, we cannot allow people to congregate in our lobbies, and masking is always required in our buildings. Do not visit if you are not feeling well or have been exposed to COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
