Oaklawn Names Brie Hayes Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer

MARSHALL, Mich. — Oaklawn has named Brianna “Brie” Hayes, CHC, CHPC, CMA, its Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer, effective Aug. 31, 2026.

Hayes previously served as Oaklawn’s Compliance Director and Privacy Officer. While many of her responsibilities and her reporting structure remain unchanged, the new title more accurately reflects the leadership role she has held in overseeing Oaklawn’s Compliance and Privacy Program. In her new capacity, Hayes also joins Oaklawn’s Senior Leadership Team.

“Brie brings an exceptional understanding of Oaklawn’s operations, culture and regulatory responsibilities to our Senior Leadership Team,” said Dr. J. Summer Liston-Crandall, Oaklawn President and CEO. “Her experience across patient care, workforce development, compliance and privacy gives her a valuable organization-wide perspective. Her steady leadership and strong relationships throughout Oaklawn will continue to be tremendous assets to our organization.”

Hayes has been with Oaklawn for more than 11 years, serving in progressively responsible roles since joining the organization in March 2015. She began her Oaklawn career as a medical assistant with Oaklawn Medical Group, where she also served as a preceptor supporting staff members across the group’s medical office locations.

She later joined Oaklawn’s Human Resources Department as an Organizational Development Trainer. In that role, Hayes developed and implemented employee and leadership education programs, coordinated annual competencies and supported workforce requirements related to regulation and accreditation.

Hayes subsequently moved into Oaklawn’s Compliance Department and served as Interim Compliance Director during a leadership leave in 2022 and 2023, providing continuity in the oversight and management of the organization’s compliance program. Since 2023, she has led Oaklawn’s Compliance and Privacy Program.

With 13 years of health care experience—including six years focused on regulation, accreditation and compliance—Hayes brings a broad understanding of Oaklawn’s clinical and administrative operations to the position.

Hayes is Certified in Healthcare Compliance and Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance. She is also a Certified Medical Assistant and holds training and instructional design certification through the Association for Talent Development.
