Pain Management

Overview

The Oaklawn Pain Management Center provides balanced treatment for all kinds of acute and chronic pain. With the goal of increasing patient functionality, we’ll create a tailored care plan specific to your diagnosis. The care plan may include minimally invasive interventional procedures, referral for treatments such as physical therapy and medication management. The balanced treatment program may also include referral to other providers in the areas of physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, surgery or alternative medicine.

Common Diagnoses

  • Neck and back pain, including work related injuries and sciatica
  • Persistent pain after back or neck surgery
  • Arthritic pain
  • Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CPRS)
  • Nerve damage or muscle spasm pain
  • Shingles pain
  • Headaches

Common Interventional Services

  • Epidural steroid injection
  • Facet joint injection
  • Selective nerve root block
  • Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)

Less Common Interventional Services

  • Celia plexus block
  • Lumbar sympathetic block
  • Stellate ganglion block
  • Spinal cord stimulation
  • Myoneural injection

The patient must agree to use only one pharmacy and one prescribing physician for pain medications, keep their medications safe from loss or theft, random pill counts and urine drug testing and compliance with their care plan.
