Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Screening will consist of travel and health related questions.

Oaklawn After Hours Express – Emergency Response Clinic

Oaklawn has set up an Emergency Response Clinic (After Hours Express – Marshall) at our site at 1174 West Michigan Avenue, Marshall MI 49068, (269) 789-4390.

Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 
Saturday & Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

We are asking any patients with fever, cough, and other respiratory symptoms to use this facility during this national crisis. All others please call your primary care provider. If you are unsure, please remain in your car and call us at (269) 789-4390. Oaklawn Medical Group is making every effort to treat sick patients either by telephone or as quickly as possible in their offices but ask that you call first.

Oaklawn Medical Group appreciates your understanding as we are continuously making changes to the way we are treating patients to minimize our community’s exposure to the coronavirus. If you need non-emergent medical attention, please call any of our offices. If we cannot see you in person, we have alternatives. Oaklawn Medical Group Office Hours

  • The Oaklawn Medical Group – Tekonsha location is temporarily closed until further notice, but phone calls are being answered and providers are seeing patients at other locations or by Telemedicine.
  • All other Oaklawn Medical Group offices have updated hours and are temporarily open from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday until further notice.

Birth Center

Only one birth partner is allowed for the entire stay and will be given a red identification band. No rotating or switching out is permitted.

Visitation Policy

According to Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s executive order, temporary restrictions have been placed on entry into health care facilities, residential care facilities, congregate care facilities, and juvenile justice facilities. Visitors are no longer allowed entry to our facilities except in extenuating circumstances. Entry to Oaklawn will be limited to the Wright Medical Building (WMB hours are weekdays from 5:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. only) lobby and the Oaklawn Hospital Main Entrance (5:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. every day) only for all personnel and patients needing outpatient services. Oaklawn employees at these two locations will perform temperature checks and ask travel and health related questions before entrance is allowed.

The process will be:

  • If someone has a temperature of 100 degrees or higher, they will be asked what services they are seeking at this visit.
    • If they are to see their provider in the Wright Medical Building, they will be given a mask, instructed how to put it on and sent to their provider.
    • If they are here for any other service, they will be sent home to call their provider,  unless they have a STAT order from their provider for outpatient testing.
    • Then they will be masked.
    • If they are an employee or vendor, they will be asked to leave the facility and call their supervisor immediately.
  • You will be asked if you have traveled by plane in the last 14 days.
    • If the answer is yes and you are a visitor or outpatient service patient you will be prohibited from entry.
    • If the answer if yes and you are visiting your provider, you will need to report travel at the provider office check-in.
  • You will be asked if you have had close contact with anyone known to have confirmed COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
    • If the answer is yes, and you are a visitor, or outpatient service patient, you will be prohibited from entry.
    • If the answer is yes, and you are visiting your provider with no respiratory symptoms, you will need to report the contact at the provider office check-in.

At this time, only some outpatient and inpatient services will continue, including surgery, radiology, laboratory, and infusions. Pre-op teaching, chronic disease management, and other services that can be provided without a face to face meeting will be done by phone, or other “telemedicine” means.

Physician offices are clearing schedules of well-child, routine physicals, and other non-essential visits to make room for people needing services immediately. Phone service was instituted on Monday, March 16th to answer questions about the virus. The number is (269) 789-7614 and will be staffed daily from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this time of emergency. We can assure you we are doing everything possible to keep our most vulnerable patients safe while providing our community with high-quality care.

Temporary Changes to Oaklawn Services

We are continuously monitoring and adapting the provision of services at all of our facilities to help prevent the spread of respiratory infection while offering our patients and the communities we serve access to excellent care.

  • All elective/non-emergent surgical procedures will be rescheduled.
  • We have temporarily suspended valet services at both the hospital main entrance and the Wright Medical Building entrance.
  • Oaklawn temporarily suspended outpatient mammography, any outpatient therapies (including PT, OT, Speech and Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab), and sleep studies. All patients will be called to notify them, and services will be rescheduled.

Our Radiologists will be reading remotely and will be called into the hospital only to do emergent outpatient procedures.

Home Medical Equipment

Oaklawn Home Medical Equipment’s office on Oaklawn’s main campus will be closed. They are available by appointment or for emergencies. Please call (269) 789-7034.

Ricketson Medical Building

The Ricketson Building is closed for patient services until further notice. For Medical Records please call (269) 789-3902. This includes Pulmonology, Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and the Women’s Diagnostic Center.

Oaklawn Fitness Center

We have closed the Fitness Center to all staff and users until further notice due to the Coronavirus. This includes those with 24/7 club access. 

Donations Welcome

We appreciate our community’s overwhelming generosity and willingness to help with donations. We will accept unopened N95 masks in original packaging, sanitary wipes, sanitizer, protective goggles, and hand sewn masks.

Oaklawn staff is onsite at Heritage Commons (13444 Preston Dr, Marshall, MI 49068) and is accepting donations Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.  If you would like to make a monetary donation, you may do so at oaklawnhospital.org/donate/
